Unicycling tattoos for players of Je Spronge' at Unicon

Ok So there was this hilarious game at unicon and it results in alot of
us doing alot of stupid things by a pure gamble of a coin or a dice and
if it lands on a specific roll. So clever mr Ryan Atkins, said if he
rolls a head we all have to get uni tattoos by the end of the year.

It was an idea that we all got the same one but i think thats more or
less up to us, so if any generous artists or photoshopers out there
fancy messing with some photos for us that would be very much
appreciated i think.

If any one can upload some cool pics of what they think might look cool
or something that would be well cool

Cheers

J'embarque (I embark, as in, enter a boat) is actually what you said
when you were either pissed or jolly enough to actually trust Ryan to
not come up with something that will haunt you for the rest of your
live. The amount of times I've had to explain what happened to the back
left part of my skull...

I'm not sure what the actual game's called, I do know that I pity
anyone that has to touch or use a certain table...

Whoops, what a little research won't do. The game is called 'chpogne',
which is also apparently what we were supposed to be saying, "Je
chpogne! Qui embarque?" I have no idea what chpogne means, and google
seems to have an equal amount of ideas about what it means.

I think one of the Bedford designs with a hot girl riding a uni might be
pretty cool for someone to get. Like the one on the red shirt with the
chick holding the bedford sign, maybe you could change the sign and put
something else on it so you're not a human billboard for the rest of
your life...

Anyways, Schwarz and I got uni tattoo's a long time ago when we were
18. They are simple and sweet and I still love it to this day. Here it
is;

Yes and no. They really aren't that bad but I siked myself up so much
before I got mine that I puked right after the 20 seconds it took to do
my tattoo and almost passed out. This probaby has to do with the fact
that I hate needles and get sick just thinking about them, let alone
watching and feeling it being done on me mixed with some blood was just
too much for me. Glad it was a simple one that only took 20 seconds!
The pain isn't too bad, kinda feels like a burning sensation or
something like that.

How does that work?
The creator of your universe wrote a book about how to live a righteous
life and bothered to mention that tattoos are bad??!?
Anybody EVER seen an old guy with a good looking tatoo?
Someone once posted to a tattoo-discussion on this forum to say that
you should get them while the canvas is nice and tight and the skin-art
can look it's best.
Worrying about what it's going to look like when you're 85 is
pointless.
You should live up enough memories to keep you busy so when you're 85,
you've got better things to do than worry about your old tattoos.

That DEFECT logo is one sweet piece of work.
Who's the artist?

i have two unicycle tattoos and i love them i'll put a link to my
gallery as i cant reduce them enough to put them in the forum. Tattoos
arent that painful to get done (its like a constant scratching) i found
i was scared before hand and worked myself up way too much so that was
the worst thing.

although saying that my defect tattoo on my leg took almost 2hours and
got painful/sore towards the end as he filled it with grey 1st then put
colour on the top so it has the burnt look effect.

As for what you do when/if you go out of uniing for me uniing is such a
big part of my life i have some amazing memories from it, so the
tattoos will prove to remind me of good times and memories.

are tatoos painful to get? I can't get one though becuase I'm Jewish
Mine felt like being drawn on with a dull X-acto knife. That's the
black part. The colored parts are a lot less intense so once you're
through with the black it's downhill from there. Or do a simple one
like Jamey's, and put it on the bottom of your foot or elsewhere if you
don't want it too visible.

And of course you can be Jewish and have tattoos. I know one Jewish guy
who has a serial number on his arm, but I think that one wasn't his
idea (sorry, bad taste). I know at least a couple of other Jewish
people with tattoos.
Post by unijesse
the only problem with this is that, what doyah do when you dont like
uni?
Easy. Keep liking the tattoo. :D
Post by unijesse
Anybody EVER seen an old guy with a good looking tatoo?
No, but back when those old guys were getting theirs, all tattoos were
pretty boring. Today I think there's more variety and a much wider
latitude of what poeple are having put on themselves.

But yes it's a good idea to think of the long-term affect of anything
you do permanently.
Post by unijesse
Worrying about what it's going to look like when you're 85 is pointless.
Yes, because when you're 85 you won't be trying to get a job or run for
office. Think a little shorter-term than that. But if you *do* get to
be 85 with an ugly tattoo, just be happy to be alive at 85. It's all
good!

BTW, here's a good example of a slightly-less entry-level unicycle
tattoo:
http://www.unicycling.com/hooten/
It's kind of small, but the unicycle has a black outline with various
colors filled in between. That one gave me the idea for what to do with
my own, and possibly inspired Jamey as well?

I've been a diabetic for the last 18 years and I've never needed
anything numbing! Where are you meant to rub it in? :D
I have a head & shoulders Batman on my shoulder blade taken from Frank

I also remember taking the dressing off too soon, going to sleep and
waking up with a perfect imprint of it on my bedsheets (and a fuzzy

I'm glad I didn't get into THIS Chpogne session:p
One of the (few) rules is that whatever the chpogne is it should not be
something against one person...
..So this one is OK but it might be reasonable to add something like:
"The chpogne should not damage body integrity":D

And of course you can be Jewish and have tattoos.
John, I am not a religious Jew, but I know there is some debate among
the religious Jewish community about having images on ones body and
whether or not people with them can engage in religious rites,
particularly having a funeral officiated by a rabbi and being buried in
a Jewish cemetery.

I know, for example, that orthodox Jews can not wear jewelry with human
images on them. I suspect that in the case of tattoos some would argue
that as long as the tattoo is not an image of person, then they should
not preclude anyone from participating in religious ceremonies.

Also, I know your comment about the number tattoo was tongue-in-cheek
(and in poor taste) but Jewish law is very flexible about matters of
life and death and acts performed against ones own will. Orthodox
Jewish ambulance drivers, for example, do work on Saturday. I doubt
there is any rabbi who argues that tattoos exclude a person from
participating in religious activities who would also argue that someone
tattooed against their will is so excluded.

And since we're on the subject, here is my tattoo.

Nice tat JJuggle!

Those UV tattoo's are pretty damn cool. The only thing not cool about
them is it takes like a year before they disappear and you can't see
them in regular light. So who's gonna be the first one to get a UV uni
tattoo? That's be pretty sick....

There is still a discussion going on about Black Light Tattoos.
My artist won't work with the inks.
However, safety concerns about UV tattoos abound. The chemical makeup of
t'he different inks used has been questioned, people have reported skin
rashes and infections, and some scientists suspect the inks might be
carcinogenic. Becau' (http://tinyurl.com/ktb43)se of these concerns,
some tattoo artists will not work with UV inks.
Having just come thru an infected tattoo episode where my medical bills
were double the initial cost of the tattoo, I'm not in the mood to
experiment.

i had a great idea for a tattoo the other day after once again someone
asking me where my other wheel is- get a tattoo of a wheel on your back
the same size as your uni wheel i guess this would only work if you had
a 20" then as they ask where your other wheel is take your shirt off
then theres the other wheel.
i know kinda lame but could be funny?

Ok, so it's not strictly a unicycle tattoo, but I had the logo from the
'Notts Juggling Club' (http://tinyurl.com/y7tbww) tattooed on to my
thigh a year ago;

[image:

[image:

Despite the desire to have a tattoo done, I wasn't sure that I wanted
to have a tattoo. *That may not make sense, but read it again and it
might*. Well, anyway, my tattoo was done without any ink. So, all the
agonising over picking a design, the excitement about booking it up,
the butterflies before it's done, the experiance of the preperation,
the feeling of the needles ripping your flesh for an hour, and the joys
of the healing process, and the fun of showing it off... and 6 months
later you can't see it! It has all but faded now, but it was well
worth having it done.

you're talking about henna tattoos. and reportedly the laser removal is
only about 2x the pain and 3x the cost. and after a year or so, it'll
look totally normal.

I AM a religious Jew, and I went to a religious high school where I
studied Jewish law. While I am by no means an expert on the laws of
tattoos, I would like to clear a few things up as long as people have
been talking about them:

1) While it is forbidden to get a tattoo, The idea that a Jew with a
tattoo cannot be buried in a Jewish cemetery is an old wives' tale
propogated by Jewish mothers.
2) The law against having a tattoo and the law regarding images of
people are two different things. Thus, having a tattoo of a person
would actually be breaking two laws, but that's irrelevant.
3) I would like to repeat jjugle's point about Judaism being flexible
in matters of life and death. If someone theoretically puts a gun to my
head and demands that I brand my skin, -Jewish law mandates that I
disregard the commandment not to-.
4) John: I have personally laughed at many Holocaust jokes in my life,
but that does not mean they are appropriate. Watch it.

PM me if you have any questions.
